I Get It From My Dad

As many of you know, my father passed away last month. (That’s why the blog has been so quiet over the past few weeks). Thank you for your patience and for all of the loving emails, Facebook and Twitter posts, phone calls and flowers people have sent. In honor of him, I thought I would share something I wrote and read at the memorial service for him. I will be making regular posts again soon. Welcome to the New Improved Savvy Brown!

I’m really excited to show you the new improved blog! Not only will updating be easier (and faster). There will be new features, videos, interviews and all kinds of fun stuff! I’m on a new server (I’m now with bluehost who is AWESOME by the way), and my lovely redesigned site was created by Laura Providence of The Native New Yawker. Coconut Oil is high in vitamins, minerals and fatty acids (that’s good for you don’t worry). Although, coconut oil has gotten a bad rap in the past for being high in saturated fat, (more than 90%), which is true. BUT it’s high in medium-chain triglycerides which raise the “good” or HDL cholesterol. Taken internally, it can help boost your immune, endocrine and digestive systems, taken externally, it has antibacterial, antimicrobial and protective properties. 10 Savvy Things I’m Into Right Now

Here’s a list of a few of the things that are making me happy right now..

  1. Travel Atomizer – I just fill this little guy with water and a few drops of my favorite essential oil of the moment and I have a quick refresher wherever I am! this one looks just like the one I have.
