I was away visiting family recently and had left my homemade moisturizer at home (that recipe is coming soon), so I had no choice but take a late night trip to the drug store in search of something comparable. I’ve used other products in the “Yes To… (insert our fruit/vegetable of choice here) line of products and they are all paraben and formaldehyde-free with a low alcohol content. They are also oxybenzone free. So here’s a review of the Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15.
Yes To Carrots Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15, 1.7 Fluid Ounce
Zinc Oxide 5%. , water (aqua), caprylic/capric triglyceride, glycerin, cetearyl glucoside, cetearyl alcohol, sea water (maris aqua), butyrospermum parkii (shea butter), daucus carota sativa (carrot) extract, chamomilla recutita (matricaria) flower extract, aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf extract*, cucurbita pepo (pumpkin) seed oil, cucumis melo (melon) fruit extract, tocopheryl acetate, retinyl palmitate, glyceryl isostearate, stearyl alcohol, xanthan gum, polyhydroxystearic acid, phenox
The product states that is for all skin types. I have combination skin so I tend to go for products that say this hoping that I’ll get a little bit of everything. I wasn’t disappointed. My skin felt smooth and moisturized after I washed and used my aloe vera juice toner. My makeup went on evenly and my skin didn’t feel dry in patches later in the afternoon as it tends to as the day wears on. The only thing you need to remember with this product is that a little goes a long way. If you use too much, you’ll get oily patches later. The added SPF is a bonus for me, since that’s become my anti-aging secret weapon! (Shhh, don’t tell okay?) I even used it at night (because I couldn’t do my OCM either).
RATING: 5 Savvy – This product works well, and since you don’t need to use much, I won’t run out any time soon so the price is worth it. I’d buy it again.
